EMAIL ME

Kaitlin M. Briggs joined Parsons Law as an Associate Attorney in April of 2024 with experience advocating for clients across North Carolina in family law, juvenile, administrative, and other civil matters at both the trial and appellate level. Attorney Briggs’s practice emphasizes a trauma-informed, anti-carceral, family-centered approach and they take great pride in the privilege to serve as their clients’ attorney.

Kaitlin earned their J.D. from Penn State Law in 2022. While in law school, they worked with the Community Revitalization Project at Legal Aid NorthWest Texas and the LGBTQ, Gender, and Reproductive Justice Project at ACLU of Southern California. During their final year, Kaitlin had the distinct honor of joining Penn State Law’s Civil Rights Appellate Clinic, where they worked on cases before the United States Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeals. During their three years in Happy Valley, Kaitlin served on the executive boards of OutLaw, the Women’s Law Caucus, the Public Interest Law Fund, and Student Bar Association, and attended as many Nittany Lion Football games as possible.

Before law school, Kaitlin graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2018 with a B.S. in Government and spent a year teaching 1st and 2nd grade.

A Texas native, Kaitlin now lives in Asheville with their fiancé, child, two dogs, and turtle. They spend their time exploring Appalachia, chasing sunsets, and checking out too many library books.
